PRE Mares
The correct name of the pure Spanish horse is Pura Raza Espanola or PRE.
The P.R.E Spanish mares at Gotico Park have been chosen for their excellent Spanish conformation, superior breed characteristics, good neck sets, long sloping shoulders, short backs, clean straight legs, strong round rumps, kind intelligent temperaments and elevated ground covering, flowing movement.
A PRE Horse, is one that has qualified for inclusion into the official Spanish studbook of Spain, which is managed by ANCCE (the Spanish National Breeders Association).
There are many horses being bred and offered for sale under the name of Spanish or Pure Spanish or Andalusian. However, a genuine PRE will have passed registration, have a Spanish passport, and after 3 years of age be revised or classified and receive breeding approval from Spain.
